TjaMeika Purnell Davenport Together with her spouse, she parents several children with special healthcare needs, including a 20-year-old daughter with a rare and complex genetic condition.

She’s a Parent Navigator at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., providing peer-to-peer support and guidance to parents of children with medical complexity. Her extensive volunteer work includes serving as a Parent Advisor and former Co-Chair of the Children’s National Patient and Family Advisory Council. She also contributes her lived expertise to the hospital’s Older Patient Committee and the Executive Committee for Clinical Ethics.
